for me is not only an international language but also an important thing in
everything and everywhere. To improve my english skill I tried to join debate
competition in UNOSED (my university) by
english club (SEF). SEF (Student English Forum) always held this debate
event (Inter Faculty Debate Competition) once a year with different themes.
Infinity
of mind was the theme of this year (2010), me and friends registered our team
there in the name of my faculty (Biology). There’s many faculty in UNSOED which
registered their team. You should know that there’s a lot of motions we have to
memorize in positive and negative sides.
Yes,
of course to be a winner is one of my wish, but beside that I’ll get nice
experience. We got war between team by team in 4 rounds, and in next round my
team just gotta an “Octo finalist”. It’s never mind for me because the
important thing is me and my team have done the best and we effort everyday
from afternoon till evening (10.00 pm or 11.00 pm) to practiced this english debate.
The first time
join english debate and be a finalist especially octo finalist is very good
experience and hope for next, we (me and my team) will get more this !!!
